Hiking through the woods the other day, I came across this tree. It reminded me of the old saying, “As the twig is bent, so grows the tree”. Our childhood upbringing has a lot to do with the kind of adults we become.
It seems our city is getting more and more wall murals painted on the buildings these days. I sure like it a lot better than the graffiti splattered on bridges and railroad cars. It takes talent to create something like this. Graffiti only requires a can of spray paint. Of course, I know some taggers who would disagree.
This photo was taken the day before Easter. Someone had placed Easter lilies in the hands of the statue. I was struck by the coincidence of the reflections in the glass mirroring the seeming reflective mood of the statue. Perhaps it is a reflection of the meaning of Easter.
